We are a collective of community and business leaders based in the Northern Rivers NSW, dedicated to rebuilding and revitalising our region following the devastating floods.
Our entities generate significant economic activity across the region, representing over 11,000 local employees in critical sectors including Agriculture, Manufacturing, Education, Financial Services, Transport, Retail, Property and NGO’s.
We come together with a shared commitment - advocating and aligning our efforts to create a resilient Lismore where our people, sectors and economy not only recover, but flourish and thrive.
The purpose of the Lismore Alliance is to:
Coordinate local perspectives and act as a united, cohesive voice for local business and community groups
Collaborate and exert influence to create positive change for the community
Explore partnership opportunities with Government and other key stakeholders to address advocacy priorities
Champion community leadership and develop effective local solutions
Support the long term vision of Lismore to realise its potential as a resilient and prosperous community.
The Alliance is apolitical.
Emergency housing and affordable housing
Future flood mitigation
Vision for CBD and flood plain areas around Lismore
Incorporating an economic recovery plan and broadening the vision beyond flood-related matters
Working together to share resources and create local solutions during the 2022 floods inspired the formation of the Lismore Alliance. We continue to coordinate our efforts to maximise positive impact across our community.
